Tim Robbins
Vice President
Tim Robbins joined The Cohen Group in 2020 and serves as a Vice President and co-lead of the firm's Defense Practice. In this role, he works with defense, aerospace, and technology companies on strategy and business development, with a particular focus on defense acquisition, the defense industrial base, and emerging technologies.
His experience includes supporting clients with domestic and international market entry strategies, defense industrial base and supply chain challenges, and market assessments. He has led strategic engagement campaigns involving government, private-sector, and international stakeholders and conducted competitive and strategic analyses to help clients understand market trends, stakeholder priorities, and opportunities across the defense sector.
Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Tim worked as a management consultant, supporting organizational assessment and security preparedness initiatives for federal clients, including the Departments of Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs. Earlier in his career, he served on active duty as a US Marine Corps Logistics Officer, where he was responsible for logistics planning, transportation operations, and materiel readiness.
Tim previously interned with the International Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he focused on security issues in the Middle East. In 2025, he participated in the CSIS Statecraft and Strategy Fellowship, a year-long program focused on technology, security, and geopolitical issues.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maine and a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service.
