Ms. Naz Gocek joined The Cohen Group in May 2023. She supports clients in the defense, technology, telecommunications, and healthcare sectors with geopolitical risk assessment, government affairs, market entry, and business development. She has worked supporting multinational clients to navigate government policies and regulations, assess risks, and build engagement strategies with key stakeholders in the United States and Europe. Ms. Gocek is a member of The Cohen Group’s Defense and Europe practices.

Before joining The Cohen Group, Ms. Gocek worked as an analyst at the Center for Radical Innovation for Social Change, where she assisted a social media company develop a new method of countering misinformation. She was also a research assistant at the Stanford Cyber Policy Center, where she focused on the political and security implications of emerging technologies.

During her graduate studies, Ms. Gocek interned at the Technology Policy Practice at Albright Stonebridge Group, where she supported clients in navigating transatlantic technology developments. She also spent time at the Europe Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she supported the program’s research on European defense cooperation and NATO-EU relations. She has also interned at the Brookings Institution and the European Parliament.

Ms. Gocek has a Master of Arts in European Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University. She is fluent in Turkish.
