Jaime Stansbury
Vice President
Ms. Jaime Stansbury is a Vice President at The Cohen Group, leading the firm’s Middle East Practice. She helps companies across sectors – energy, healthcare, technology, defense, mining, and sustainability – understand the regional geopolitics and policies that drive their strategic decision making. Whether a company is entering the region for the first time, has an established presence in the region, or is considering a new strategy, she helps clients navigate the complexities of doing business, one relationship at time.
Trained as a management consultant, Ms. Stansbury has spent over 20 years living and working in the Middle East. In 2010, she stood-up a government program between the United States and Saudi Arabia to protect critical infrastructure vital to the global economy. As the founder of the first international women’s business group in Saudi Arabia, she advanced women’s leadership and inclusion during a time of unprecedented societal change. After serving on the founding board of directors for the American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia, she became the organization’s first executive director in 2020. Under her leadership, the organization transformed from an informal business network into a professional nonprofit serving over 200 companies across three chapters.
A first-generation college graduate, Ms. Stansbury is passionate about helping nontraditional students study abroad. She consulted with the Institute of International Education to launch a scholarship program for Saudi women and men to study art and music overseas. She is also a volunteer panelist for Virginia Commonwealth University’s honors college, helping students apply for national merit-based scholarships.
Ms. Stansbury holds master’s degrees in business from Indiana University and in Arab studies from Georgetown University. She speaks Arabic; writes on culture, gender, and society in the Arab Gulf; and recently authored a children’s book about her family’s summer road trip across Saudi Arabia.
