Gauhara Karimova

Mrs. Gauhara Karimova joined The Cohen Group in November 2018. Before that, she worked as a News-Desk Analyst for Central America at Exovera (SOS International LLC), an international media analysis company. Mrs. Karimova was responsible for collecting data and on-going monitoring of local, traditional, and non-traditional media outlets in Spanish for the provision of weekly analysis and situational awareness reports, as well as input on trends pertaining to migration, politics, and culture.
Prior to her time at Exovera, Mrs. Karimova spent eight years at Leveraged Green Energy, LLC, a waste-to-energy and clean energy technologies venture capital firm, as Office Administrator and Executive Assistant. In this capacity, she provided support to the company’s senior executives and managed multiple different calendars. Mrs. Karimova contributed to the overall efficiency of the company headquarters and was responsible for internal and external communication as well as client outreach. She handled a broad range of operational issues, coordination and administrative tasks, and logistical arrangements, and also worked on project-related research and business development.
Mrs. Karimova is a triple-major graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she obtained Bachelor degrees in Biology, International Studies, and Spanish. In 2014, she graduated from George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government with a Master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy.
Mrs. Karimova is originally from Almaty, Kazakhstan and came to the US with her family in 1995 when she was ten. She moved to Virginia in 1997 and currently resides in Fairfax with her husband and two children. Mrs. Karimova is fluent in Russian and Spanish, and enjoys traveling and dancing Salsa in her spare time.
