Shashank Jejurikar

Mr. Shashank Jejurikar is a Research Associate at The Cohen Group. As part of the firm’s Washington, DC-based India Practice, Mr. Jejurikar advises clients on navigating India’s business and policy landscape. In addition to his India expertise, Mr. Jejurikar also supports clients across the energy, healthcare, consumer goods, and information technology sectors, assisting firms in entering new markets, building advocacy strategies, and assessing geopolitical risk.
Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Mr. Jejurikar earned his Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. While at Columbia, Mr. Jejurikar consulted for the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority, analyzing how utilization of battery storage could facilitate the Authority’s transition to electric busses. He also advised the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs on how utilization of open data could help officials in developing countries improve infrastructure asset management. Additionally, Mr. Jejurikar interned at the International Finance Corporation on a team specializing in financing early-stage client projects in developing countries.
Before pursuing his master’s degree, Mr. Jejurikar worked for three years at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he advised private equity clients on their investment, lending, and banking needs. Additionally, Mr. Jejurikar worked at the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center, where he supported the Center’s Director and Senior Fellows in the development of the Council’s US-India Trade Initiative.
Mr. Jejurikar is from Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Economics and International Relations.
