Ms. Henley Schulz joined The Cohen Group in July 2025. She supports clients across the information technology, defense, consumer goods, manufacturing sectors with regulatory and political analysis, business development, and geopolitical risk assessment. As a member of The Cohen Group’s China practice, Ms. Schulz advises clients on navigating business and policy landscapes across Asia Pacific markets.

Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Ms. Schulz worked at McKinsey & Company as a specialist in the Aerospace and Defense Practice, where she advised clients on strategy and operations. She led the unmanned systems portfolio of McKinsey’s proprietary aerospace and defense analytics tool and analyzed Department of Defense budget and contract data to identify market opportunities for clients. Earlier in her career, she completed internships at the US Department of State and in the Senate and the House of Representatives, focused on technology, artificial intelligence, and US-China policy.

Ms. Schulz received her master’s degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University as a Schwarzman Scholar. Her Capstone thesis on Chinese venture capital investments in the Middle East was awarded Schwarzman College’s Outstanding Capstone Award. She graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in government and minors in China and Asia-Pacific studies and law and society.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Schulz is a German-American and has lived in Scotland and Beijing. She has an intermediate proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and continues language studies in French.
