Mr. Zach Glass joined The Cohen Group in November 2021. As a member of The Cohen Group’s China Practice, he supports clients in sectors including international commodities, sustainability, infrastructure, tourism, and FinTech. His work includes advising clients on the impact of China-oriented US policies, supporting engagement with high-level Chinese and US officials, advising on political and optical risks within the bilateral relationship, and assessing Chinese political influence in third markets. Mr. Glass has also worked on clients’ European and Asian market expansion, supported clients’ internal corporate strategy, and engaged with international officials to evaluate risks and opportunities in Ukraine’s reconstruction landscape.

Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Mr. Glass worked as a Project Assistant at Crowell & Moring LLC, where he performed legal research and assistance for the International Trade, White Collar, and Labor and Employment practice groups. He also conducted research for an investment group on Chinese influence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s government and cobalt mining sector. Prior to this, Mr. Glass was a Policy Intern for the Center for Arms Control and Nonproliferation, where he published research articles on arms control issues and helped coordinate information briefings with Congressional staff.

Mr. Glass graduated from Yale University in 2020 with a BA in Global Affairs. For his Senior Capstone project, he was tasked by the US Indo-Pacific Command to assess the geostrategic implications of a separatist movement on the Micronesian island of Chuuk. While an undergraduate, Mr. Glass also researched North Korea’s nuclear program at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey. Mr. Glass grew up in northern New Jersey and enjoys playing soccer and chess.
