Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Ms. Thalia Safar completed her Masters in Conflict Resolution at Georgetown University. As part of her Capstone project, she orchestrated, in collaboration with the Middle East Institute, an expert panel discussion on Arab-Israeli normalization and its implications on the future of the Middle East. She recently interned at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy working on the Syria Transition Challenges Project, which focuses on track 1.5 and track 2 dialogue facilitation. Additionally, she interned at the International Trade Administration in the Office of Standards and Intellectual Property and assisted in the creation of the 2020 Special 301 Report.

Ms. Safar holds a BA in Government and minors in Business Administration and Economics from Georgetown University. She is fluent in Arabic and spent seven years living in the Middle East between Syria and the UAE.
