In January 2024, Mr. Jose O. Guzman joined The Cohen Group following his service as the Executive Assistant in the Environment portfolio at The Pew Charitable Trusts. In that role, he supported senior leadership, managed inquiries, mentored other administrative professionals, and increased operational efficiency within the program.

Before his tenure at The Pew Charitable Trusts, Mr. Guzman worked at Amplify Public Affairs in Washington, DC, serving as an Associate and Digital/Internet Strategist. He hosted information webinars, coordinated events, and developed digital strategies aligned with client objectives. Additionally, he served as the Institutional Giving Manager in the Development department at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company in Baltimore, Maryland.

In addition to his work as an administrative professional, Mr. Guzman dedicated 15 years to education, teaching mathematics in the School District of Palm Beach County, New York City Department of Education, and Montgomery County Schools. Mr. Guzman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Arts from Binghamton University. Additionally, he is a trained stage actor with over 20 years of experience performing in Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland.
