Kalem Campbell joined The Cohen Group in May 2017. Prior to joining the firm, he served as the Confidential Assistant to the Chief Administrative Patent Judge with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to that position, he served as the Protocol Officer for the Federal Protective Service within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In this position he provided protocol guidance and assistance to Senior Executive Service-level management within the Federal Protective Service and coordinated official representational events, including those events taking place at the Federal Protective Service’s 11 regional offices nationwide. He coordinated closely with senior government officials and other members of the government and private sector.
Mr. Campbell began his career as an intern in 2006 on the Headquarters Department of the Army Staff assigned to the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Army for Installation Management in the Pentagon. In this job he directed the correspondence in support of General Officer for Operations Directorate Executive Office. Mr. Campbell has experience in various administrative positions within the Departments of Defense, State and Homeland Security where he provided executive support services to senior Flag/General Officers and Political Appointees.
Mr. Campbell attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he majored in Political Science. While at the University of Maryland, Mr. Campbell joined the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps and was a member of the Maryland Honor Guard. Mr. Campbell was awarded the Department of the Army Civilian Achievement Award in 2010.
