Middle East
Although the challenges are great, the benefits of globalization, free markets and democracy are arriving in the Middle East. Global firms prepared to pursue these opportunities will need patience and a strategic plan. The Cohen Group can help provide both. Secretary William S. Cohen's experience in the Middle East spans over 30 years of direct involvement with key issues critical to US national security, including energy, commercial, and investment policies. As Congressman, Senator, and Secretary of Defense, Secretary Cohen visited the region on numerous occasions and established close and enduring relationships with the region's key leaders.
As Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Vice Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Ralston has also been a key decision maker on US-Middle East policy. General Ralston's advice and counsel are frequently sought by private and officials contacts, colleagues and contemporaries in the region and beyond. Ambassador Marc Grossman has been involved in Middle East policy for the majority of his State Department career. He also traveled extensively to the area, including a key trip in advance of the United States hosted G-8 Summit in 2004. Lord Robertson and General Paul Kern have also built close, personal ties over their careers with key leaders in the Middle East. Danny Sebright and Brendan Melley have served in the region in key diplomatic and intelligence positions and have represented the US Government in various rounds of the Middle East Peace Process negotiations. The Cohen Group team is unparalleled in its ability to offer strategic business advice and assist with problem solving in this critically important region of the world. |
