Ms. Cao comes to The Cohen Group after gaining valuable experience in both the Chinese government and multinational companies. She offers considerable expertise in connecting Western businesses to relevant government entities in China.

In terms of her government experience, Ms. Cao served for six years in China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She initially worked on economic cooperation between Asia and Europe in the Department of International Organizations, where she helped to implement the coordination mechanism among various government ministries. Then, from 1999 to 2002, Ms. Cao served at the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations in New York as a political advisor on Security Council affairs. In 2003, she worked as a consultant for the UN Millennium Project in New York. Her participation in numerous UN conferences and negotiations allowed her to develop a good understanding of different cultures and values.

Most recently, Ms. Cao was the International Business Development Manager at Yahoo! China, where she coordinated the M&A of Yahoo! China and a local internet search company. She also led the partnership development between Yahoo! and other multinational companies.

Ms. Cao received her MPA in International Development from the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University in 2005. She graduated with BA in Economics from Renmin University of China.
